The short answer

Meals from our kitchen are cooked fresh to order and sealed in airtight, BPA-free containers. In the fridge, they keep for 5 to 7 days from the day you pick them up or get them delivered.

Keep them cold, keep the lid on and check the date you collected them.

How to store them well

  • Fridge first. Put your pack in the fridge as soon as you get it.
  • 4°C or colder. If your fridge runs warm, everything spoils faster.
  • Keep lids sealed. Do not leave open containers sitting out.
  • Store at the back. The door is the warmest part.
  • Label the days. A strip of tape and a marker makes it obvious what to eat first.

Which meals first?

Plan your eating order from the day you pick up.

  • Eat the meals you are most excited about early, so they are at their best.
  • Keep your steadiest, plainest meals for later in the week.
  • Eat breakfast bowls in the same window as everything else.

When to bin a meal

  • It smells sour, off or odd.
  • It looks slimy or has visible mould.
  • It has been out of the fridge for a long time, such as overnight.
  • You are not sure. If in doubt, throw it out.

Bringing meals to work

  • Carry them in an insulated bag with an ice pack on hot days.
  • Put them straight in the work fridge.
  • Do not leave them in a car.

The short version

  • 5 to 7 days in the fridge from pickup or delivery.
  • 4°C or colder, sealed lids, back of the shelf.
  • If it smells or looks wrong, do not eat it.
