Privacy policy

Health On Top ("we", "us") is a meal-prep business at 421 St Paul St, Kamloops, BC. This page explains what personal information we collect through healthontop.ca, why, and your choices. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and BC's Personal Information Protection Act.

What we collect

• Account: name, email address and a hashed password (we never store your password in readable form).
• Orders: the meals you order, phone number, delivery address (delivery orders only), special instructions, order totals and payment status.
• Rewards: points, store credit, referral and coupon activity.
• Messages: anything you send through the contact form or chat.
• Newsletter: your email address and the time you signed up.
• Technical: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, and basic server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) used for security and fixing errors.

Card payments

Card details are entered on a secure form hosted by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number never reaches our servers or database. We keep only Stripe's payment reference, the amount and the payment status. Stripe's own privacy policy governs what it collects, including for fraud prevention.

Why we use it

• To make, deliver and confirm your orders, and to contact you about them.
• To run your account, points and referrals.
• To process payments, issue refunds, and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To send order and account emails. We send promotional email only if you subscribed, and every promotional email will include a way to unsubscribe.

Who sees it

Only the people and services needed to run the business: our staff, our hosting provider (Hostinger), Stripe for payments, and Gmail for sending our emails. We do not sell your information. We may disclose it if the law requires.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in and your cart working. We do not use advertising cookies. Stripe may set its own cookies on its payment form.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as needed for tax, accounting and dispute purposes. We keep account information until you ask us to delete it.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent to marketing email at any time. Email mealprep@healthontop.ca. We will reply within 30 days. Some records (such as paid orders) must be kept by law, and we will tell you if that applies.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, staff access is restricted, and card data stays with Stripe. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts you at real risk of harm, we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.
